Yes, it's true, I'm now a blogger! It's been long overdue, but it's a new season and a new day. I'm super excited about this journey, but will you join me?

Becoming a blogger was simply the farthest thing from my mind. For what seems like my entire life, I've typically known what works for me and what I'm "good" at. From my love of music leading me to becoming a musician, to my being good at math finally landing me on the path of becoming an accountant. So naturally the idea of blogging honestly never entered my mind.... well at least not until recently.

Believe it or not, I have been trying to figure out a way to blend all of the aspects in my life so that it reflects GOD's true will for my life. I kept pondering... how can I blend my career, ministry and things that I enjoy doing all into one? The birth of my business, Baisley and Walker (my maternal and paternal grandparents family names) was manifested because of my faith, the love of my family and the skill set I had been afforded to have developed. But how could I possibly merge my calling to serve others and writing abilities into the existing marriage of things I loved? A blog

We log in day in and day out of social media scrolling and peering from a distant view into the lives of those we know and don't know; and those who have capitalized on the movement and have become social media influencers. Because of the existing volume of blogs that are already out there, it's easy to see why I've dragged my heels on being obedient to this particular call. If I can be honest, me starting Baisley and Walker wasn't when I should have, but yet it was me delaying the process for the thought of, but there's already so many other people in that market. I had to get to the point where I stopped listening to myself, and yield to a much higher calling greater than myself. Why should you listen or even be interested in what I have to say? What is it that sets me apart from others? Well for one I've been in my profession for nearly 15 years (yes, I ask myself the same thing.... where did the time go?), which I've gained more knowledge than I sometimes feel my brain can contain at times lol. More importantly I want to empower and encourage others to live your best and fulfilled financially independent lives while creating and preserving a legacy. Budgeting and being fiscally responsible shouldn't be treated as chore, but as a tool to ensuring that those generations coming after you are positively impacted.

I'm excited that you decided to drop by, but stay tuned because there are greater things in store! I'll be dropping plenty of valuable gems that you don't want to miss out on. So that you're constantly in the know, do me a favor and SUBSCRIBE!

Until Next Time,

Andrea
